An insight and an appreciation of what the school
stands for is subtly expressed herein. Enjoy

Prizes and Scholarships
In the school itself inter class and inter House
competitions are held both in academic subjects,
essay writing, elocution, reciting and fine
arts. Prizes are given to the winners. These
prizes come from endowments. Scholarships are
provided from separate endowments for the purpose.
To name a few are the following:

Kunjamma Memorial endowment
to the value of Rs.1000, given by the late
Dr.T.K. Varghese, for giving prizes to the
best students in Mathematics in all the classes

The Kochannama Memorial
endowment to the value of Rs.300, given by
Mrs. And Mr. O. I. Iype for prizes for Domestic
Science
-
Elizabeth Oommen prize
given by Miss. Sar Mathai for needle work,
painting etc.

Iype Kovoor Memorial Endowment
to the valueof Rs.500, for prizes for Elocution,
Recitation etc.

Mrs. Koshy’s prize
for science.
-
Sara Koshy Memorial prize
for Malayalam essay writing given by the teachers.

The Manager’s prize
for Drawing and Sewing.

Miss. Viney’s prize
for needlework
Small sums are given on and often by many a
few well wishers of the school for prizes and
scholarships and to cite a few here are Dr.
C. M. Philip who donated Rs.2000, to be known
as Mary Philip memorial scholarship in memory
of his dear daughter and a dear pupil of the
school. Mrs. Lee, a niece of Mrs. Nicholson
has been supporting two needy girls through
their High School course. Two Trophies are donated
by Mr. Korah Mani in memory of Mr. T. K. Kuruvilla
to be given to the best outgoing student of
standard X and the other to the best student
of standard VII.
