Religious education
The school admits children from all walks of
life irrespective of faith without any compulsion
on them to attend Christian service in the Chapel.
Tolerance and respect to all religious faith
are imbibed in the children of the school along
with the scripture lessons and examples set
by the teachers and other staff. The students
live in a secular atmosphere, where they are
free to practice their own beliefs. There are
a few students from Kerala and other parts of
the country who follow Hindu faith.
However, as per the vision of the founders
of the school and as is customary of Christian
families, a Christian atmosphere of worship,
fear of the Lord, and love and faith in God
Almighty are strived to be maintained in the
school. In other words, the school tries to
impart education to Syrian Christian girls on
the foundation of Christian faith so as to groom
them to be true Christians at home, society,
church and state. The day begins with a common
worship in the School Chapel. Bible class (scripture
class) is held every day between 9:00 and 10:00
in the morning. On Sundays regular church services
are held by the school Chaplain. Sunday school
classes are held by the teachers. Prayer meetings
for different classes on week days and Bible
class for teachers are conducted once a week.
The Indo-American club and specially, Mr. T.
J. John and Rev. K. K. George are acknowledged
for their help in organizing film shows to the
pupils.
